Moisture and Energy Requirements in Residential Homes

This half-day seminar will cover energy requirements and moisture issues for walls, crawl spaces and attics in residential homes. It will focus on differences between energy and wall covering requirements that may conflict and potential issues with sealing requirements in local climate zones. Crawl space requirements for vented and unvented spaces are compared. Issues with ventilation of auxiliary conditioned spaces are discussed.

Tiny Homes

This half day seminar covers the details of tiny homes. The concerns in zoning and location, details of foundations, egress, framing and fire separation. Many requirements are identical to requirements for a single-family home. A few requirements focus on the very small size of the building and the ability of the residents to both escape during a fire and move about the building every day.
